Training & Activism Weekend Mark your calendars ladies and gentlemen, the 2nd annual Greater Cincinnati Rock for Life Training and Activism Weekend is coming up fast! This year it will be co-hosted with Northern Kentucky University's Right to Life organization and will be at Northern Kentucky University's Welcome Center on March 29, 2008 from 9:30AM -4:30PM. The cost is $5 for the event which features the national Director of Rock for Life, Phil Eddy, and other local pro-life speakers (bring additional money for lunch on campus). Topics include Defending the Little Ones - The Attack on the Embryo, Debating on the Streets, Abortion and its Effects on the Black Community, and A Rwandan Genocide Survivor's Story of Forgiveness - Standing Up for the Value of All Life, Born and Unborn. Come out and join us for a great day of pro-life activism, education and fun while getting the opportunity to meet other pro-lifers in your area! Registrations are due on March 22, 2008. Cincinnati Rock For Life is an awesome opportunity for teens and young adults in the Tri-State area, especially those who cannot vote, to stand up for their beliefs and protect the dignity of life in all stages.

Our Statement of Purpose

Rock for Life is committed to offering the truth about abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia to America's youth through music and ministry.

Young people are being deceived and manipulated by the music industry! Many of today's popular artists speak out for abortion rights and raise money for pro-abortion causes. They are feeding our youth with the lie that abortion is not only an answer to their problems, but a right they must fight to protect.

To counter this assault on young people, Rock For Life works to bring together bands who stand for the truth—that life is sacred from fertilization until natural death—with no exceptions, no compromise, and no apologies. Rock for Life is dedicated to this fight until abortion is abolished and a respect for the gift of life is restored.

Rock for Life exists to offer you a voice, encouraging you to stand up among your peers and fight against the destruction of your generation.

Rock for Life Outreach Includes

Music

• Hosting Rock for Life concerts
• Presenting educational booths at concerts and festivals
• Producing pro-life compilation CD's
• Aiding over 100 Christian and secular bands in presenting the pro-life message
• Distributing Rock for Life bands information

Education

• Providing literature to students and youth groups
• Speaking at concerts and youth rallies
• Equipping bands with pro-life resources to take on tour
• Maintaining RFL chapters around the country

Outreach

• Encouraging and participating in peaceful, legal street level activism
• Passing out literature in front of high schools
• Holding prayer and worship services in front of abortion clinics
• Participating in national pro-life events and activism
• Providing alternatives for girls in unplanned pregnancies

Mailing List
There are a couple of ways to get involved. First, if you and your family would like to be on the Pregnancy Center West mailing list, please email us at pcwest@fuse.net or call us at 513/244-5700 and we add you over the phone. This will allow you to get our newsletters with information about upcoming events, ways to get involved, how many babies are being saved, and much more.

Service Hours
If you would like to volunteer and receive service hour credits, we have volunteer hours a couple Wednesdays a month from 3:30-5:30p.m. You can call to get the dates at 513/244-1097 or email Rachel. If you are going to volunteer, please give us at least two days notice via email or by phone. Volunteers usually help stuff folders, bag jolly ranchers, stuff envelopes, help fold clothing in Distribution, and much more. It's a fun two hours of meeting others, and we of course offer free drinks and food to keep them going!

Testimony Speakers
If you would like to give your chastity testimony in the schools, we are always in need of speakers, both male and female. This is an extraordinary way to reach out to others, get some speaking experience, and change lives. If you are interested in testimony speaking, please email Rachel or call 513-244-1097 for more information. We also write great letters of recommendation for college for our speakers!

Volunteer Teachers
The Outreach Department utilizes a number of invaluable adult Teacher Volunteers to assist the Outreach staff in presenting the In Control program in the schools. The level of commitment varies as some Volunteer Teachers assist once a week while others may only come into a school once or twice a year; some learn a variety of activities, while others specialize in only one; some choose to work strictly in high schools, some prefer grade schools, and some help out in both. Any help is greatly appreciated and greatly enriches the program! If you are interested in becoming a Teacher Volunteer, email Rachel. Schedule a Presentation
If you are a youth group leader, teacher, CCD leader, school principal or DRE and would like to bring the In Control chastity program, Marriage Preparation program, or Real Choice Baby Development and abortion presentation into your school or parish, please contact Rachel.
